Located in the Byward Market district, Tila Tequila is one of Ottawa's hottest bars. We have a friendly atmosphere and fun staff. Many people come to Tila Tequila to meet new friends and have a drink. Dress to impress here as it is a great place to dance, meet people, and overall have an amazing night. One of the biggest clubs in Ottawa - there is always something going at Tila Tequila.
Now open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with top DJ's keeping the floor hoping with beats that range from house to top 40.

Very dissapointing experience here. The bouncer choked my friend and dragged him out of the club for no reason at all. The doormen and the bouncers are very rude and not polite. Shots are way too expensive on a saturday night deffinatley not worth my time or money. Do not go here unless you want to be picked on by crazy bouncers that dont know how to do there job.

I am being completely serious it was for no reason whatsoever. I was standing talking to him and the bouncer all of a sudden came and choked him out. I was completely sober that night due to the expensive shots, so i know what I saw. I'v also heard many people say similar things.

Never had as much fun as I did in this club first year uni, probably picked up 8 times here, girls that come here are easy, hot and sometimes intelligent :) Drink wait times are small, music is good...even though dj was rude to me and took no requests. Bouncers are dumb meatheads but hey..thats life. If you want the meatmarket of ottawa and are just cruisin for some fine ladies..this place never disappoints

Very bad place.Bounces are dumb,they will start beating you up and throw you on the street for any reason.I got sick in the lounge area,they won't ask you to leave,they will start hitting you.please send your horror stories to me.Place should be shut down.

THURSDAY Nights are really busy - hands down this and Barrymore's are the only places to go on a Thursday. i like that Tila has $3.5O tequilas all night long, affordable drinks and staff that are really fun. You have to go to the main bar and get a juicy pussy - the best drink we have ever had!

I've been here a couple time including my birthday a couple years ago which was amazing. Love Love Love the music from DJ Jamie C. Heard they got a new DJ and I haven't been back. The service has never been bad, the line outside sometimes gets long but worth that wait and the cover charge. If you like dancing this is honestly the place to go! The catwalk is also so much fun!

if you want exceptional customer service, stay far away from this place. god awful. worst situation. as a patron, i felt worthless and unimportant. the bouncer was completely racist. i can't bare to go back.

so I walk in and go to the west bar, and some fool pukes up his shot all over my jacket.
wonderful. bartender saw this and had the guy kicked out by by the bouncer. she gave me a towel and all that to clean up the f'kin mess. rightfully so, since she overserved the poor fuck.
Music was pretty good but dj, in my opinion, overkilled the mixing.
Girls on swings hanging from the roof was a nice touch, think this was only for that night though

ya i agree, same deal last time i was there too, total sausage fest and the service was terrible, across the street is def. better, i left and went to kube and its awesome there! they treat u amazing their unlike tila

The only reason this place popular is the lack of other options. The staff are rude, the drinks taste watered down, the music is catered to kids and it's always a sausage fest. I would recommend going across the street to patty bolands if you want to have something positive to talk about the next day.

Been only once. It was OK but felt like Hull. The bar was great, really fast service. But atmosphere wasn't my thing: too loud so we couldn't talk and our guy friends couldn't dance with us (not aloud on stage, podium, or bridge). Kinda sucked for them.
This seems more of a place where guys can get free entertainment...but it was an overall ok night. Would I go back? Only if everyone else was set on going there.

Overall this is a good place to hit on Thursday, Fri, or Sat. Line ups outside do get long quick but they move fairly fast, unlike other clubs (ie: Parliament).
Inside is pretty spacious. This club's success is attributed to it's high ceilings, nice decor, and good sound system. Cover and drinks are also very reasonable for Ottawa and the type of venue that it is. Even when this place is packed, there's still lots of room to move around and dance. 3 bars make it so that you wont have to wait an eternity to get your drink on.
I particularly wasn't impressed though the other night when I was told I could run a tab because the last guy who did that same night ran out on his $60 bill. Had the cutie behind the west bar told me 'no, sorry', that's fine. But don't tell me it's because of some other douche bag. I would have offered up ID w. the CC, but figured it just wasn't worth the argument. Mind you the scantily clad hotties grinding eachother on the second-floor catwalk definitely made my night that much better.
Walk (or stumble) into Tila Tequila with an open mind and you'll have a great time.

Lineup grows fast. Inside has nice layout, cooling is adequate at best but still better than most places in Ottawa. Staff are friendly for a club and seemed to always pay attention. Bathrooms could use some work, but again, still better than most places in the city.

I've been here a few times, at least once on each night they're open. The prices on Thursday are cheaper for both cover and drinks (or at least they were - I haven't been there for a while). This was nice because the cover on Friday and Saturday is quite a bit higher - it's been $6-7 to get in some nights, and frankly I don't think it's worth that much just for cover.
It's not a bad bar, has a decent mix of top 40s/house music which is fun if you like to dance. However, it tends to be VERY loud so it's very hard to talk and socialize, and I find the atmosphere is definitely that of a "pick up bar"... people grinding all over each other, girls shaking their thing on the podium. Which, if you like that thing, and don't mind a younger-seeming crowd and occasional fights, is great. But to me it felt a little like Hull, only this side of the bridge.
Prices on drinks aren't bad, but I've definitely had a few severely watered down shots there, so I'd recommend sticking to the bottled beer. Service isn't bad, but again... stay away from the shots. I ordered 3 tequila shots and they tasted like nothing (and those were my first drinks of the night - I was quite disappointed). Cleanliness is medium.
At this point, I probably wouldn't go back. It's alright, but a few times was enough for me.
